I just came back from a week off myself, due to a rather nasty fever cold. Strangely enough, I had more endurance that I had anticipated. I think here the mind has a lot to do with the order of things. For me, anyway, I was antsy to get back into the gym, though worried I would be suffering from missing an entire week. Be that as it may, I did a decent workout and light sparring (if you remember, I'm quite new to sparring) and felt ok. Though certainly not by magic, it seems it's often the case that if the mind is present the body is ready, or at least, more ready.

On the sparring note I actually scored a few shots for the first time and they felt solid. I felt much more relaxed and look forward to getting more and more comfortable in the ring.

Welcome back to training, Jeffrey.

I think you'll find that as you are more relaxed, you will be more comfortable and spar much better. With more practice, you will become more relaxed. Then the practicing and sparring will become easier. Best wishes for awesome training!
